Impacts of Tourism Destination Development on Residents’ Livelihoods in Northern Tanzania

This study aimed at evaluating livelihood impacts in pursuit to provide answer an outstanding question on whether tourism destination development over time has influenced residents’ access adequate assets underlying household-wealth and well-being. The involved agro-pastoralists residing three gateway communities: Loliondo, Lake Natron Burunge, located Northern Tanzania. A cost-effective impact evaluation based definition of wealth was embedded the participatory wealth-ranking as part multi-method approach involving in-depth interview, focus group discussions survey among 416 beneficiaries 425 non-beneficiary households, collect data changes household’s from year 2008/9 2018/19.
