چکیده

Biochar has many potential benefits in agroecosystems such as increasing productivity of crops and modifying soil nutrient content. is sourced from waste materials which could easily sustainably remedy current challenges concentrated agricultural operations that use manure-based fertilizers. However, relatively little known about its effects on forage species conjunction with manure or biochar enriched effluent. Our objective was to look at the effect dairy effluent amendments a legume grass. In this study, sandy loam amended variety (BC) greenhouse setting. Factors included (1) BC type; (2) loading percentage; (3) saturation BC; (4) inclusion. The study repeated twice: once Trifolium incarnatum Lolium multiflorum. Plant material assayed for biomass (BM) C N Soil content micronutrients. Data were not normally distributed consequently analyzed variance using non-parametric methods R. Overall, T. showed very strong negative (p ≤ 0.05) impact associated percentages blend herbage BM, while no > 0.05). contrast, L. multiflorum positive saturated wood, blend, BM. nutrients varied greatly depending type BC, percentage, included. Results indicated importance properties rates, well tolerances when choosing amendment rate.

Fate of manure phosphorus in a weathered sandy clay loam soil amended with three animal manures.

Laboratory incubation was conducted for 120 days to study the fate of phosphorus in poultry (PM), cattle (CM) and goat manures (GM). Phosphorus mineralized from manure was dependent on total P, Al and Fe content. Manures improved P availability in the order: PM>CM>GM; however, the highest amount of P was fixed or immobilized between 10 and 70 days of incubating with CM and GM. Fixation and immo...

Gas entrapment and microbial N2O reduction reduce N2O emissions from a biochar-amended sandy clay loam soil

Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a potent greenhouse gas that is produced during microbial nitrogen transformation processes such as nitrification and denitrification. Soils represent the largest sources of N2O emissions with nitrogen fertilizer application being the main driver of rising atmospheric N2O concentrations. Soil biochar amendment has been proposed as a promising tool to mitigate N2O emission...

Effect of Corn Residue Biochar on the Hydraulic Properties of Sandy Loam Soil

Biochar has an ability to alter the biological, chemical, and physical properties of soil due to its physicochemical properties such as surface area, porosity, nutrient retention ability, available nutrient contents, aromaticity, etc. The present study was designed to evaluate the impact of physical properties and application rate of biochar on the hydraulic properties of a sandy loam soil in t...

Effects of wheat straw biochar and irrigation water on hydraulic and chemical properties of a sandy loam soil after faba bean cultivation

Nowadays, applying soil amendments is one of the most important ways to cope with water shortages and improve soil physical properties. In this regard, a greenhouse experiment was conducted to study the effect of different levels of irrigation water and wheat straw biochar on physical and chemical properties of a sandy loam soil, after harvesting faba bean. The experiment was performed with 5 b...

Impact of Distillery Effluent and Salts on Hydraulic Conductivity of a Sandy Loam Soil

Irrigation with distillery effluent, besides influencing crop yield, may have considerable impact on physical properties of soil because of its high salt and organic carbon contents. This experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effect of distillery effluent on hydraulic conductivity of a sandy loam alluvial soil and compare the effect of inorganic salts of potassium (K) with that of di...
