چکیده

Abstract Cotton production substantiated a crucial part in the escalating economic development of many countries. To realize increasing global demand for cotton, emphasis should be laid on to improve cotton fiber growth and production. The bioengineered transgenic proved expedient resolving inadequacies conventional but still required improvements encounter heightened textile industries. One possible solution pertaining this has been provided by nanoscience form metal or oxide nanoparticles. These nanoparticles have easy access various parts plants through its transportation system, thus significantly influence several parameters relative fiber. This review summarizes distribution accumulation plant impact different growth-promoting factors, which resulted improved yields. Graphical abstract Metal/metal-oxide parameters, hence plants, promoting factors.

Morphological and Physiological Responses of Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) Plants to Salinity

Salinization usually plays a primary role in soil degradation, which consequently reduces agricultural productivity. In this study, the effects of salinity on growth parameters, ion, chlorophyll, and proline content, photosynthesis, antioxidant enzyme activities, and lipid peroxidation of two cotton cultivars, [CCRI-79 (salt tolerant) and Simian 3 (salt sensitive)], were evaluated. Salinity was...

Physiological Mechanism of Nitrogen Mediating Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) Seedlings Growth under Water-Stress Conditions

The objective of this investigation was to study the effects of nitrogen on tolerance to water-stress in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) seedlings. Growth chamber studies with pots of washed sand were carried out in Fayetteville, USA, and Nanjing, Chinawith three water conditions (well-watered, drought-stressed, and waterlogging), and three nitrogen rates, low nitrogen (16 mM, approximately 224 ...

Infraspecific DNA methylation polymorphism in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.).

Cytosine methylation is important in the epigenetic regulation of gene expression and development in plants and has been implicated in silencing duplicate genes after polyploid formation in several plant groups. Relatively little information exists, however, on levels and patterns of methylation polymorphism (MP) at homologous loci within species. Here we explored the levels and patterns of met...

Effect of Nitrogen on Seed Cotton Yield and Fiber Qualities of Cotton (gossypium Hirsutum L.) Cultivars

Seed cotton yield and fiber qualities may be significantly altered by a number of agronomic practices. The present study investigates the effect of nitrogen levels on cotton cultivar's seed cotton yield and fiber quality traits. Three cotton cultivars (NIAB-111, CIM496 and FH901) were tested against four nitrogen levels (0, 60, 120 and 180 kg ha) to check reliability, the highest yielding and g...

Modelling cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) with L-systems: A template model for incorporating physiology

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) has a complex architecture resulting from an intricate pattern of development, which strongly influences its ability to capture resources. Computational modelling can play a part in increasing our understanding of the processes intrinsic to the cotton cropping system at the level of individual branches, leaves and bolls. Such studies may be made for many different...
