چکیده

In nature, plants interact with multiple organisms, below and aboveground. Although interactions of single biotic stressors are well characterized, knowledge how the immune system responds to is lacking. It known that two most important pathways involved in plant defenses jasmonic acid (JA) salicylic (SA). The crosstalk between these hormonal signaling seems fine-tune responses different stressors. this study, we characterized maize (Zea mays) under attack economically pests: bacterial pathogen causes Goss’s wilt leaf blight (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. nebraskensis), chewing insect, fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda). Our results indicate wilt-resistant when pretreated bacteria became more vulnerable subsequent by larvae. Furthermore, hormone analysis demonstrated antagonistic JA-Isoleucine (JA-Ile), biologically active form JA, SA contributed enhanced susceptibility herbivory. Collectively, our suggest may play a major role defense against study will improve understanding ability predict plant-induced an crop.

Characterization and Comparison of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. nebraskensis Strains Recovered from Epiphytic and Symptomatic Infections of Maize in Iowa.

Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. nebraskensis (Cmn), the causal organism of Goss's wilt and leaf blight of maize, can be detected in the phyllosphere of its host prior to disease development. We compared the morphology and pathogenicity of 37 putative isolates of Cmn recovered from asymptomatic and symptomatic maize leaves. Thirty-three of the isolates produced mucoid orange colonies, irrespect...

A Proteomic Study of Clavibacter Michiganensis Subsp. Michiganensis Culture Supernatants

Clavibacter michiganensis, subsp. michiganensis is a Gram-positive plant pathogen infecting tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). Despite a considerable economic importance due to significant losses of infected plants and fruits, knowledge about virulence factors of C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis and host-pathogen interactions on a molecular level are rather limited. In the study presented here...

Bioluminescence imaging of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis infection of tomato seeds and plants.

Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis is a Gram-positive bacterium that causes wilting and cankers, leading to severe economic losses in commercial tomato production worldwide. The disease is transmitted from infected seeds to seedlings and mechanically from plant to plant during seedling production, grafting, pruning, and harvesting. Because of the lack of tools for genetic manipulati...
