Impact of land slope, tree density and basal area on fire intensity in pinus merkusii plantation forest

Forest fires are not solely determined by the quantity and quality of plant debris as fuel, but also influenced some extrinsic factors. This study aims to examine effect factors (slopes, tree density, basal area) on intensity forest fires. The was conducted in a 1 ha (100m x 100m) plot Pinus merkusii plantation 10 months after fire. divided into m subplots, therefore there were 100 subplots. Each over 5 cm diameter found numbered consecutively, recorded its species name, measured diameter, whether it alive or dead. slope level each subplot measured. Multiple regression analysis used detect influence level, area number dead trees subplot. Results show that slopes, proportionally (R2 = 0,507; p<0.05). However, when partial applied class factor, all classes significant. These results reveal several other this fire intensity, which we suspect tapping holes diameter.
