چکیده
Background: Broomrape (Orobanche crenata Forsk.) is a major biotic stress of faba bean and affects the yield adversely. The impact intercropping to curb spread progress parasite was tested by using two cultivars under heavily soil infested conditions broomrape. present study aimed evaluate fenugreek, flax, garlic or radish with on broomrape incidence increase yield, land usage economic return in heavy infestation broomrape. Methods: During winter seasons 2017/2018 2018/2019, treatments were combinations (Nubaria 1 Nubaria 2) four intercrops (fenugreek, radish), as well sole plantings all crops field conditions. A split-plot design three replicates used. Faba assigned main plots arranged sub plots. Result: Results showed that 2 had mechanisms offensive, mainly including cell wall build-up stamping vascular tissues. It also higher oxalic ascorbic acid concentrations than 1. Sole rhizosphere formic whereas, fenugreek + oxalic, salicylic acids rhizosphere. Lower number spikes per m2 their dry weight obtained followed flax 2. Radish recorded equivalent ratio Growing one row between rows ridges 60 cm width could be an integrated control strategy productivity,

Characterization of Resistance Mechanisms in Faba Bean (Vicia faba) against Broomrape Species (Orobanche and Phelipanche spp.)
Faba bean (Vicia faba) production in Mediterranean and Near East agriculture is severely constrained by broomrape infection. The most widely distributed broomrape species affecting faba bean is Orobanche crenata, although O. foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca are of local importance. Only moderately resistant cultivars are available to farmers. Rizotrons studies allowed the dissection of resist...
متن کاملIntercropping studies with annual crops
This pape r tries to illustrate how beneficial interactions between crops can be exploited to increase the overall output of a cropping system. Growth studies with sorghum/pigeonpea and mil let /groundnut a re described to show how intercropping systems can achieve much larger yields than sole crops by using environmental resources more fully over t ime or more efficiently in space. D a t a fro...
متن کاملBiology and Demographic Growth Parameters of Cowpea Aphid (Aphis craccivora) on Faba Bean (Vicia faba) Cultivars
The performance of cowpea aphid, Aphis craccivora Koch. (Hemiptera: Aphididae), on five faba bean, Vicia faba L. (Fabales: Fabaceae) cultivars was evaluated. Colony development, biology, and demographic parameters were studied to measure the cowpea aphid performance. Two methods, whole plant and detached leaf, were used in these experiments. After 14 d , the number of apterous adult, nymphs, an...

Objective: For investigation of intercropping of maize and faba bean, an experiment was conducted in Research Station of Agriculture Faculty of Tabriz University during growing season of 2013. Methods: Experimental design was randomized complete block design with three replications and seven treatment. Treatments included one row intercropping (1:1), 4 strip intercropping pattern with ratios of...
