Impact of Hearing Impairment on Marital Adjustment In Elderly Couples

This present study was conducted to determine the relationship of marital adjustment with loss hearing in elderly couples. To carry out study, subjects were audiologically tested and questionnaire (MAQ) administered along handicap inventory (HHI). The audiological assessment consisted pure tonal audiometry (PTA), which carried a sound treated room by air conduction (from 250 Hz 8000 Hz) bone (500 4000 Hz). Hearing threshold calculated using MAICO brand Audiometer (MA-42). sample 30 couples without aids. Among them, 15 having B/L severe male partner female normal placed experimental group, while other no control group. Data analysis help IBM-SPSS software.
