Impact of dark tetrad personality traits on nascent entrepreneurial behavior: the mediating role of entrepreneurial intention

Abstract The impact of negative personality traits on entrepreneurial intention and behavior has become a research focus in the field entrepreneurship. This study aimed to identify influence dark tetrad nascent mediating role intention. used partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) test hypotheses sample 347 undergraduate postgraduate university students from China. results this revealed that narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, sadism have positive significant intention, which significantly partially mediates relationship between behavior. finding implies China’s higher education policymakers unlock hidden potential its youth. contributes emerging literature psychology entrepreneurship provides evidence individuals with high level are more likely be involved action.
