Impact Force Analysis in Inertia-Type Piezoelectric Motors

چکیده
In an inertia-type motor, a piezoelectric multilayer actuator is espoused to transient vibration velocity as high 1.0 m/s during slip time. This makes the motors dynamic but not quasi-static. We propose kinetic model describe condition under which slippage can occur between slider and stator. The current absorbed by actuators in stator time defines behavior of slider. A new thickness-mode force factor expression (A33), relation velocity, described electrical domain. Impact acting on friction coupler produced proportional rate change sliding Additionally, we present structure characteristics two-phase inertia-drive-type proposed was evaluated. Driving with truncated mirrored sawtooth signals enhances system dynamics. As one expands other shrinks, their respective hysteretic nonlinearities are canceled. motor operating frequency be great 30 kHz typically load unloaded greater than 16.0 mm/s generated higher 3.0 N.

Micro Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Motors
This paper reviews recent developments of micro ultrasonic rotary motors using piezoelectric resonant vibrations. Following the historical background, four ultrasonic motors recently developed at Penn State University are introduced; windmill, PZT tube, metal tube, and shear-type motors. Driving principles and motor characteristics are described in comparison with the conventional ultrasonic mo...
متن کاملPiezoelectric Motors, an Overview
Piezoelectric motors are used in many industrial and commercial applications. Various piezoelectric motors are available in the market. All of the piezoelectric motors use the inverse piezoelectric effect, where microscopically small oscillatory motions are converted into continuous or stepping rotary or linear motions. Methods of obtaining long moving distance have various drive and functional...
متن کاملModeling and analysis of a three-component piezoelectric force sensor
This paper presents a mathematical model for the vibration analysis of a three-component piezoelectric force sensor. The cubic theory of weakly nonlinear electroelasticity is applied to the model for describing the electromechanical coupling effect in the piezoelectric sensing elements which operate in thickness-shear and thickness-stretch vibration modes. Hamilton's principle is used to derive...
متن کاملPiezoelectric Inertia Motors—A Critical Review of History, Concepts, Design, Applications, and Perspectives
Piezoelectric inertia motors—also known as stick-slip motors or (smooth) impact drives—use the inertia of a body to drive it in small steps by means of an uninterrupted friction contact. In addition to the typical advantages of piezoelectric motors, they are especially suited for miniaturisation due to their simple structure and inherent fine-positioning capability. Originally developed for pos...
