Impact Assessment of Plug-in Electric Vehicle Charging Locations on Power Systems with Integrated Wind Farms Incorporating Dynamic Thermal Limits

The increased presence of electric vehicle charging locations in a power system with high penetration intermittent wind potentially leads to operation complexities resulting abnormal impacts. This paper proposes an innovative framework for assessing the impact plug-in (PEV) on integrated farms, incorporating dynamic thermal limits (DTLs). comprises Monte Carlo simulation, which is embedded stochastic modeling various uncertainties under key operating conditions. As part framework, transmission lines are ranked accordance lowest level expected energy not supplied. PEV demand then modeled by DTLs and applied least stressed lines, following IEEE 738-2006 standard. new assessment investigated using 24-bus test system. results demonstrate that applying conjunction integration decentralized farms strategic location PEVs significantly improves security supply considerably reduces interruption costs, as opposed having such framework.
