Traxanox augments immune response to lipopolysaccharide in inbred mice: role of macrophages.
Both C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice were immunized intravenously with lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 10 micrograms/mouse) on day 0, and hemolytic plaque forming cells (HPFC) in the spleen were assayed on day 4. Traxanox given orally at a dose of 30 mg/kg augmented the HPFC production to LPS in both mice. This agent (3-30 mg/kg) restored significantly the suppressed HPFC production to LPS in the BALB/c mice ...
متن کاملPreliminary Studies on the Immunopotentiating Action of Some Ayurvedic Preparations
Ten healthy controls, 9 Rheumatoid Arthritis patients and 5 cancer patients were studied for T and B cells in peripheral circulation. T cell count in cancer patients showed a slight enhancement after receiving Ayurvedic Treatment; but the B cell count remained the same. In Rheumatoid Arthritis patients no significant change was noticed either in T cell or cell count.

conclusions in this study, the l-lps immune response of bovine cells was significant, indicating that tlr2 is the predominant receptor for l-lps. due to l-lps endotoxin-like activity, we found a strategy through using bmap-28 to prevent l-lps-induced tlr2-dependent immune activation in bovine cells. materials and methods in this study, l-lps-induced proinflammatory cytokine production in bovine...
