چکیده

Abstract Background Inflammation is believed to influence human colorectal carcinogenesis and may have an impact on prognosis survival. The mucosal immunophenotype in dogs with cancer poorly described. aim of this study was investigate whether the density, distribution grade tumor-infiltrating immune cells (TIIs) are different normal colonic tissue vs benign stages (adenomas) malignant (adenocarcinomas) canine carcinogenesis, thus, they can be considered as prognostic factors dogs. This retrospective case-control performed formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples from histologically confirmed adenoma ( n = 18) adenocarcinoma 13) collected archived samples. had been by colonoscopy, surgery or during postmortem examination. Healthy obtained post mortem euthanized for reasons not involving gastrointestinal tract served control 9). Results tumor significantly lower numbers CD3+ T-cells epithelium compared controls (adenocarcinoma control, Kruskal-Wallis test, p 0.0004, 0.002). Adenomas a number CD18+ lamina propria, (Kruskal-Wallis 0.008). Colonic uniform staining ?-catenin along cell membrane epithelial cells. Compared cells, expression levels cytoplasmic were higher adenomas adenocarcinomas (adenoma 0.004, None showed positive nucleus In contrast, moderate strong nucleus. nuclear (signal strength distribution) < 0.05). Conclusions Ki67 useful markers demonstrating progression adenocarcinomas. presence CD18 tumors indicates reduced histiocytes T-cells, which implications pathogenesis

Immunohistochemical Expression of p53 and bcl2 in Colorectal Adenomas and Carcinomas Using Automated Cellular Imaging System

Background & Objective: The current approaches to reduce the risk of colorectal carcinoma are through the detection and removal of the precursor lesion” adenomatous polyps”. The study was conducted to evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of p53 and bcl2 in colorectal adenomas and carcinomas. Patients and Methods: A total of 86 cases, 33 colorectal adenomas, 33 colorect...

Expression of prolactin receptors in normal canine mammary tissue, canine mammary adenomas and mammary adenocarcinomas

BACKGROUND Mammary tumors represent the most common neoplastic disease in female dogs. Recently, the promoting role of prolactin (PRL) in the development of human breast carcinoma has been shown. Possible proliferative, anti-apoptotic, migratory and angiogenic effects of PRL on human mammary cancer cells in vitro and in vivo were suggested. The effects of PRL are mediated by its receptor, and a...

Expression of p53, p21/waf, bcl-2, bax, Rb and Ki67 proteins in colorectal adenocarcinomas.

This study investigated the combined immunoexpression of p53, p21, bcl-2, bax, Rb and Ki67 proteins in colorectal adenocarcinomas and correlated expression patterns with tumour stage and grade. Paraffin sections from 98 cases of colorectal adenocarcinomas were stained by immunohistochemistry for p53, p21, bcl-2, bax, Rb and MIB-1 (Ki67) proteins. In addition, 12 cases of colorectal adenomas and...

Relation of the Expression of Cyclooxygenase-2 in Colorectal Adenomas and Adenocarcinomas to Angiogenesis and Prognosis

PURPOSE Recent studies have shown that cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 may be involved in tumor growth, invasion and apoptosis in various carcinomas. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has a potent angiogenic activity, and COX-2 promotes angiogenesis by modulating angiogenic factors, including VEGF. Endothelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) is considered as a factor of cell growth, maturation and...
