IMMU-36. EVALUATION OF TUMOR DERIVED SERPINA3N IN EXPERIMENTAL GLIOBLASTOMA

چکیده
Abstract Glioblastoma (GBM) is an incurable brain cancer which associated with severe peripheral immune suppression. Using experimental GBM, we recently determined that immunosuppression involves thymic atrophy, stunted T cell proliferation, and release of circulating factors inhibit responses. RNA sequencing proteomic studies have transcripts protein levels Serpina3n are upregulated in the serum GBM patients correlates poor prognosis. We a highly gene thymus glioma-bearing mice using technologies. Proteomic analysis from identified upregulation pathways extracellular expression Serpina3n. therefore sought to determine role GL261 glioma harboring wild type knockout mice. Glioma implantation resulted similar survival compared controls. Western blotting experiments confirmed expressed secreted by gliomas isolated WT mouse brains. Together this data suggests tumor-derived, but not host derived, needs be evaluated as putative factor immunosuppression.

Proportional Upregulation of CD97 Isoforms in Glioblastoma and Glioblastoma-Derived Brain Tumor Initiating Cells
CD97 is a novel glioma antigen that confers an invasive phenotype and poor survival in patients with glioblastoma (GBM), the most aggressive primary malignant brain tumor. The short isoform of CD97, known as EGF(1,2,5), has been shown to promote invasion and metastasis, but its role in gliomas and GBM-derived brain tumor initiating cells (BTICs) has not been studied. We sought to characterize C...
متن کاملP157: Periostin Recruits Tumor Associated Macrophages in Glioblastoma Multiform
Glioblastoma multiform (GBM) is the most common and lethal type of primary brain tumors with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Treatment options are limited and ineffective in most of the cases. Epidemiological studies have shown a link between inflammation and glioma genesis. In addition, at the molecular level, pro-inflammatory cytokines released from activated microglia can increa...
