چکیده
Fluorescent Proteins (FP) can be applied as biomarkers and biosensors in the industrial medical fields, but their large-scale use, especially for new applications, is limited due to low stability. Hence, discovery of additives capable preserving activity FP at room temperature under stress conditions help expand facilitate commercial use. With this goal, we evaluated application 1 - alkyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride-based ([C n mim]Cl) ionic liquids (ILs) preserve Enhanced Green Protein (EGFP) different storage times unfavorable conditions. All [C mim]Cl solutions (at 0.100 mol L −1 ) were able EGFP fluorescence longer than phosphate-saline buffer (PBS) NaCl solutions, increasing its manifestation from 3 months. with shorter medium cationic alkyl chains most effective fluorescence. also protected presence surfactant SDS, acid guanidine hydrochloride, H 2 O . Therefore, added aqueous reduce negative impact denaturing agents on EGFP. there a massive potential ILs long-term without refrigeration conditions, fundamental enable expansion applications. • Positive effect diluted long-term. preserved (from 7 PBS 90 days). against chemical denaturation GuHCl, act preservatives stress. Imidazolium-based ionic liquids used as additives in the nanolubrication of silicon surfaces
In recent years, with the development of micro/nanoelectromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS), the demand for efficient lubricants of silicon surfaces intensified. Although the use of ionic liquids (ILs) as additives to base oils in the lubrication of steel/steel or other types of metal/ metal tribological pairs has been investigated, the number of studies involving Si is very low. In this work, we ...
متن کاملExpression-Enhanced Fluorescent Proteins Based on Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein for Super-resolution Microscopy.
"Smart fluorophores", such as reversibly switchable fluorescent proteins, are crucial for advanced fluorescence imaging. However, only a limited number of such labels is available, and many display reduced biological performance compared to more classical variants. We present the development of robustly photoswitchable variants of enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), named rsGreens, that ...

In just three years, the green fluorescent protein (GFP) from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria has vaulted from obscurity to become one of the most widely studied and exploited proteins in biochemistry and cell biology. Its amazing ability to generate a highly visible, efficiently emitting internal fluorophore is both intrinsically fascinating and tremendously valuable. High-resolution crystal s...

Objective(s) Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are nonhematopoietic stromal cells that are capable of differentiating into and contribute to the regeneration of mesenchymal tissues. Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) are ideal targets in cell transplantation and tissue engineering. Enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) has been an important reporter gene for gene therapy. The aim of this stu...
