Image clustering for the exploration of video sequences
In this paper we present a system for the exploration of video sequences. The system, GAMBAL-EVS, segments video sequences extracting an image for each shot and then clusters such images and presents them in a visualization system. The system permits to find similarities between images and to traverse along the video sequences to find the rellevant ones.
متن کاملClustering of Short Read Sequences for de novo Transcriptome Assembly
Given the importance of transcriptome analysis in various biological studies and considering thevast amount of whole transcriptome sequencing data, it seems necessary to develop analgorithm to assemble transcriptome data. In this study we propose an algorithm fortranscriptome assembly in the absence of a reference genome. First, the contiguous sequencesare generated using de Bruijn graph with d...
متن کاملstudy of cohesive devices in the textbook of english for the students of apsychology by rastegarpour
this study investigates the cohesive devices used in the textbook of english for the students of psychology. the research questions and hypotheses in the present study are based on what frequency and distribution of grammatical and lexical cohesive devices are. then, to answer the questions all grammatical and lexical cohesive devices in reading comprehension passages from 6 units of 21units th...
Evolving Image Segmentations for the Analysis of Video Sequences
A methodology for the segmentation of successive frames of a video sequence is presented. Traditional methods, treating each frame in isolation, are computationally expensive, ignore potentially useful information derived from previous frames, and can lead to instabilities in the segmentation over the sequence. The approach developed here, based on the Region Competition algorithm (Zhu and Yuil...
متن کاملAdaptive Subsampling of Image Sequences for Remote Exploration
Planetary exploration robots currently collect science images at a very limited rate due to communications bandwidth constraints. Onboard image understanding can improve science return; the remote agent can collect many images and then select informative subsets for transmission at each communications opportunity. Often due to the inherent complexity of object recognition essential image featur...
