چکیده

The occurrence of multiple infections within the human body, such as gastroenteritis, is observed in a subset patients who also experience inflammation-related conditions like ulcerative colitis. Traditionally, these have been associated with an excessive response from Th2 or Th1 cells, respectively. However, recent studies unveiled noteworthy revelation in. context Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). It has demonstrated that enhancement cytokine synthesis facilitated by distinctive T specifically Th17 known helper cells. This discovery marks pivotal development field immunopathology. Furthermore, role interleukin (IL)-23 amplifying cell responses, including those inflammatory bowel disease, yielded valuable insights into tissue damage pathways and opened up new avenues for therapeutic strategies various diseases, notably disease. Recent research shed light on potential dual nature Th17- cytokines, IL-22 IL-17A, which may exert protective effects without causing harm. comprehensive review underscores played cells IL-23 processes occurring tissues, affected intestinal other related conditions.

Cytokines (IL-17, IL-23, and IL-33) in Systemic lupus erythematosus in Trinidad and Tobago.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the most common autoimmune disease. It is characterized by the presence of hundreds of autoantibodies against many organs and tissues, including the presence of a large number of autoantibodies, which are specific to self-antigens mainly of nuclear origin such as Smith antigen, double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), anti-Sjögren’s syndrome-related antigen A and B (SS...

Targeting the IL-12/IL-23 axis

Combination immune checkpoint blockade has demonstrated significant clinical responses in cancers infiltrated by T cells. Many tumors contain high proportions of myeloid cells and these can secrete immunosuppressive cytokines like IL-23. Our data suggest the clinical potential of using anti-CD40 (push) and anti-IL-23 mAbs (pull) to tip the IL-12/23 balance in established tumors and act as an al...

Therapeutic potential of targeting IL-17 and IL-23 in sepsis

Severe sepsis is a major concern of public health in industrialized countries. It is estimated that in the United States 200,000-400,000 cases occur annually and resulting in an extensive burden for the health care systems. To date, no FDA-approved pharmacologic agents for the treatment or prevention of human sepsis are available. The current modalities of therapy in sepsis include the standard...

The IL-23/IL-17 axis as a therapeutic target.

T helper (Th) cells are known to differentiate into several distinct subsets depending on their environment. The Interleukin 17 (IL-17)-producing subset Th17, which was reported and named in 2005, has been extensively analyzed because a strong association with inflammatory disorders has been suggested. The condition in which Th17 cells are differentiated, critical transcription factors, and sim...

IL-6, IL-10 and IL-17 Gene Polymorphisms in Iranian Women with Recurrent Miscarriage

Background: Pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines and polymorphisms of their genes have been described to be involved in the pathogenesis of recurrent miscarriage (RM). Objective: To investigate the association between RM and five polymorphisms of cytokine genes, interleukin 10 (IL-10), (-592 A/C, -819 C/T, -1082 A/G), IL-6 (-174 C/G) and IL-17 (-197 G/A) in Iranian women. Method: Po...
