<i>Gypsy</i> Anarchism: Navigating Ethnic and Political Identities

One of the many stereotypes included in generally negative – occasionally Romantic representations and discourses that have burdened Romani people is alleged existence a natural link between ‘Gypsy’ way life anarchism. This article studies extent an actual historical relationship anarchism as political worldview ‘Gypsy’-Roma ethnic status beyond reductionist stereotypes. It investigates, on one hand, agency subjects labour movement by means case study Spain interwar years, and, other, it examines cases number European emigrants who chose to closely option identity their struggle against capitalism fascism.
