Identification of Schizosaccharomyces pombe ird Mutants Resistant to Glucose Suppression and Oxidative Stress

Glucose is both the favourite carbon and energy source acts as a hormone that plays regulating role in many biological processes. Calorie restriction extends lifespan organisms, including Schizosaccharomyces pombe , while uptake of high glucose leads to undesired results, such diabetes aging. In this study, sequence analysis ird5 ird11 mutants was performed using next-generation sequencing techniques total 20 different mutations were detected. resistant oxidative stress without calorie restriction, whereas displays an adaptive response against stress. We selected nine candidate located non-coding (6) coding (3) region among mutations. The mutations, which are thought be responsible for mutant phenotypes, investigated via forward backward by various cloning techniques. results study provide report-like information will contribute understanding relationship between sensing/signalling components.
