Identification of Pathogens Causing Alfalfa Fusarium Root Rot in Inner Mongolia, China

چکیده

Alfalfa Fusarium Root Rot (AFRR) is a serious soil-borne disease with complex pathogenicity. Diseased samples suspected of AFRR were collected from Hohhot, Ordos, Hulunbeier, Chifeng, and Bayannur in Inner Mongolia, China, leading to 317 isolates. The isolates identified as acuminatum, F. solani, equiseti, incarnatum, oxysporum, avenaceum, verticillioides, proliferatum, falciforme, tricinctum, virguliforme, redolens, the results pathogenicity testing showed that 12 species could cause alfalfa root rot. Among these, virguliforme have not previously been reported China. Although population structure pathogens differed different regions, dominant pathogenic was acuminatum. Fungicide toxicity tests seven fungicides inhibited which fludioxonil, kresoxim-methyl, triadimefon found be strongly toxic towards acuminatum EC50 values 0.09, 2.28, 16.37 μg/mL, respectively, suggesting these used alternative for control AFRR. this study can provide theoretical basis exploring occurrence epidemiology rot strategies its control.

Identification of Pathogenic Fusarium spp. Causing Maize Ear Rot and Potential Mycotoxin Production in China

Ear rot is a serious disease that affects maize yield and grain quality worldwide. The mycotoxins are often hazardous to humans and livestock. In samples collected in China between 2009 and 2014, Fusarium verticillioides and F. graminearum species complex were the dominant fungi causing ear rot. According to the TEF-1α gene sequence, F. graminearum species complex in China included three indepe...

The Major Fusarium Species Causing Maize Ear and Kernel Rot and Their Toxigenicity in Chongqing, China

Fusarium verticillioides, F. proliferatum, and F. meridionale were identified as the predominant fungi among 116 Fusarium isolates causing maize ear and kernel rot, a destructive disease in Chongqing areas, China. The toxigenic capability and genotype were determined by molecular amplification and toxin assay. The results showed that the key toxigenic gene FUM1 was detected in 47 F. verticillio...
