Identification of CoDREB Genes for Drought and Cold Tolerance in Camellia oleifera
نویسندگان
چکیده
DREB is a plant-specific transcription factor family that plays pleiotropic regulatory role in response to abiotic stresses such as drought and cold. In this study, we identified 51 genes of Camellia oleifera. These CoDREBs ranged from 88 518 amino acids (average/median 259/237 aa). The predicted molecular weights (MW) the CoDREB proteins 9.7 kDa 59.6 kDa, isoelectric points (pI) 4.62 10.44. A gene structure analysis showed 43/51 (84.3%) were intronless, number exons varied one three. Then, focused on terms plant cold acclimation. Under short-/long-term stress, CoDREB1.2/4.1/4.4/4.8/4.12/4.15/5.1/5.3/5.5/6.2 have different regulations long-term response, CoDREB1.4/2.5/4.6/4.1/6.3/6.5 specifically short term. Additionally, mild/severe followed by recovery, found may be involved complex drought-responsive network. CoDREB5.2 CoDREB6.5 are significantly up-regulated, participate regulation low-temperature C.

Identification and evaluation of HvPIP1; 4 and HvnsLTP genes expression for drought tolerance in barley
It is of great significance to understand the tolerance mechanisms by which plants deal with drought stress and application of these mechanisms for improvement of genotypes in response to drought stress. In order to identify and investigate the expression of genes involved in tolerance to drought stress, leaf and root EST were analyzed in Spontaneum (wild barley) and Nimruz (tolernt to drought ...
متن کاملTranscriptome analysis of the tea oil camellia (Camellia oleifera) reveals candidate drought stress genes
BACKGROUND The tea-oil camellia (Camellia oleifera) is the most important oil plant in southern China, and has a strong resistance to drought and barren soil. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of drought tolerance would greatly promote its cultivation and molecular breeding. RESULTS In total, we obtained 76,585 unigenes with an average length of 810 bp and an N50 of 1,092 bp. We mapped a...
متن کاملOverexpression of Prunus mume Dehydrin Genes in Tobacco Enhances Tolerance to Cold and Drought
Dehydrins, known as group 2 or D-11 family late-embryogenesis-abundant (LEA) proteins, play important roles in plant growth and stress tolerance. Six dehydrin genes were previously identified from the genome of Prunus mume. In this study, five of them (PmLEA8, PmLEA10, PmLEA19, PmLEA20, and PmLEA29) were cloned from cold-resistant P. mume 'Beijingyudie'. Real-time RT-PCR analysis indicated that...
متن کاملIdentification of sources for drought tolerance in local bread wheat landraces
In order to identify drought tolerant germplasm, 97 bread wheat landraces, mostly Iranian genotypes, were evaluated in two separate experiments of normal and drought stress conditions in the field of Agriculture and Natural Resources Research Center of Varamin. The experiments were performed in lattice statistical design with three replications. Drought conditions in the stress experiment was e...
