IDENTIFICATION, CONSERVATION AND AUGMENTATION OF SAW-TOOTHED GRAIN BEETLE PARASITOID, CEPHALONOMIA TARSALIS (ASHMEAD, 1893) IN DATE FRUITS

The renown of date fruits is growing day by therefore, the high quality with no or less chemical treatment a topic interest for consumers worldwide. For this purpose, kind research was scheduled proper biological control agent’s identification and its confirmation dry date’s major pest. sample collection made from different godowns vicinity Khairpur bulk stock to initiate study Aseel variety. each there were counted (n=200) releasing doses male female parasitoids hence; 5 treatments including replicated times. results showed that release T1=03 couples mean efficiency resulted after 10 days (DAR) 34.40, DAR 20; 40.20, 30; 42.60 when compared overall control. In next T2=04 natural enemies up 24.50; 38.45; 43.70 followed T3=05 indicated 21.25; 26.30; 33.30; T4=06 found 35.45; 38.55; 43.70, respectively. effectiveness against pests be most effective all treatments. Couples four six yielded best effectively controlling STGB larvae stage. Furthermore, it suggested conservation augmentation processes encouraged in order reduce pest population on fruits.
