Identification and Quantitative Characterization of Point Bars in Subsurface Meander-River Belt, Taking Chengdao Oilfield in Bohai Bay Basin as an Example

Reservoir architecture is an important basis for studying the sedimentary evolution of underground reservoirs and distribution remaining oil. Taking meander-river reservoir Guantao Formation in Chengdao Oilfield as example, characteristics subsurface meander-belt deposits were studied by seismic sedimentology. Seismic lithology performed using -90° phase wavelet frequency fusions; geomorphology conducted on stratal slices. Six meandering belts defined target layer, sediment at bottom characterized transformation from “braided” river to “meandering” river. The width belt has no correlation with maximum thickness belt. But it obvious negative differences minimum meander–river With increase belt, drilled decreases a whole. forward model based shape point bar reveals formed superposition sand bodies different positions bars. According these characteristics, bars zone can be explained. In Ng33, Ng42, Ng45 sub-layers study area, corresponding widths where (or connecting body) cannot effectively identified well logging data, are, respectively, 800, 500 m. At same time, when meander greater than 1000 m, three or more basically segments main mostly 300–400 about 550 while scale sub-layer relatively small. quantitative debris determined location SBM SIA provide limited valuable data support formation simulation rivers, which are also useful reservoir.
