Identification and Introgression of a Novel HMW-GS Gene from Aegilops tauschii

چکیده

High molecular weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GSs) play a major role in determining the dough quality of wheat. As D genome donor hexaploid wheat, Aegilops tauschii is an important genetic resource for wheat breeding. In present study, novel HMW-GSs from Ae. was identified and designated as Glu-Dt1. Multiple sequence alignment indicated that one cysteine mutated into arginine y-type subunit. Site-directed mutagenesis technology applied to verify function gene Three introgression lines (ILs), B9, B25, B35 with Glu-D1 loci substituted by Glu-Dt1 were detected BC3F5 population derived cultivar Jimai22 Y215 through direct hybridization approach. The agronomic performance analysis performed, which provide valuable resources studies breeding distinctive end-use quality.
