Iago Membongkar Mitos Antagonisme dalam Drama Othello

چکیده

Artikel ini merupakan pengembangan atas artikel Othello dan Iago: Konstruksi Baik-Buruk Sebagai Instrumen Diplomasi Inggris Untuk Meraih Dukungan dalam Konflik dengan Spanyol yang dimuat Catatan Kritis Seputar Drama, Teater Film. Analisis mendalam dilakukan terhadap Drama Othello, the Tragedy of Moor Venecia karya oleh sastrawan William Shakespeare. ditengarai ditulis sang maestro permintaan monarki untuk membantu mereka membentuk citra negatif musuh mereka, di Anglo-Spanish War pada akhir abad ke-16 awal ke-17. Berdasarkan pengamatan, penokohan drama memang sengaja dipesan penguasa mengarahkan imaji masyarakat Spanyol.
 Shakespeare tahun 1603 tengah konfrontasi antara Spanyol. penulis istana, sangat berpotensi diduga menerima pesanan representasi “baik” hal melalui karakter yaitu orang dari Afrika Utara. Upaya upaya memperoleh dukungan pihak Arab menaruh semacam dendam Pada saat sama, Ratu Elizabeth I juga memesan “buruk” tokoh antagonis Iago. Karakter jahat itu ditempelkan nama Iago khas 
 berfokus pengaruh konteks, simbol, sejarah penciptaan suatu karya, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa bertujuan agar meraih entitas Islam, sekaligus memperkuat sentimen antagonistik Konteks tidak dilepaskan latar belakang sebagai istana Inggris. tataran tertentu, kehadiran strategi diplomasi instrumen soft power atau kekuatan lunak berupa drama.
