چکیده
Abstract This review is the third part of a series reviews on hydrophobization lignocellulosic materials, relevant topic nowadays, due to need replace fossil fuel-based materials. The provides an overview materials by polymer adsorption, and both chemical radiation-induced grafting polymers. While adsorbed polymers are only attached surfaces physical interactions, grafted chemically bonded Radiation-induced typically most environmentally friendly technique, even though it little control synthesis. On other hand, controlled radical polymerization reactions more complex but allow for synthesis with elaborated architectures well-defined properties. Overall, wide range contact angles can be obtained adsorption grafting, from slight increase in hydrophobicity superhydrophobic choice modification technique depends end-use modified material, there clear trend towards use chemicals processes structures. Chemical modification of maleic anhydride polymers with carbazole
Maleic anhydride (MAN) copolymers with methyl methacrylate(MMA), ethyl methacrylate(EMA), methyl acrylate(MA), ethyl acrylate (EA) and buthyl acrylate (BA) ( in a 1:1 mole ratio) were synthesized by free radical polymerizations method under vacuum -azobis(isobutironitrile)(AIBN) as an initiator of reaction at 701C. The copolymer compositions were determined using related 1H NMR spectra techni...

متن کاملThe Toughening of Cyanate-Ester Polymers Part II: Chemical Modification
_______________________________________________________________________________________ A fracture mechanics approach has been used to investigate how the addition of high-temperature resistant thermoplastic modifiers can increase the fracture energy, Gc, of brittle cyanate-ester polymers. Tests were performed using adhesive joint specimens at -55, 21 and 150°C. The fracture energies of poly(et...

متن کاملThorough chemical modification of wood-based lignocellulosic materials in ionic liquids.
Homogenous acylation and carbanilation reactions of wood-based lignocellulosic materials have been investigated in ionic liquids. We have found that highly substituted lignocellulosic esters can be obtained under mild conditions (2 h, 70 degrees C) by reacting wood dissolved in ionic liquids with acetyl chloride, benzoyl chloride, and acetic anhydride in the presence of pyridine. In the absence...
