Poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) has been widely employed in biomedical disciplines due to its several advantages, including biocompatibility, nontoxicity, and low-cost preparation. However, the intrinsic hydrophobicity of this material encourages biofouling reduces cell regulation capacity, thereby limiting applicability. The purpose study is explore surface modification functionalization PDMS PDMS-based biomaterials improve their properties for applications. content review organized based on physical chemical strategies hydrophilicity enhance antibiofouling immunomodulation modulation biomaterials.
