چکیده

Electrospun fibers of the thermo-and pH sensitive poly(N-vinylcaprolactam-co-acrylic acid) (Poly(NVCL-co-AA) loaded with 10% and 30 wt% caffeine (Caf) were obtained by electrospinning evaluated as potential drug delivery systems. Caffeine was used a hydrophilic model, poly(NVCL-co-AA) containing either 20 or mol% AA carrier. The morphology, well as, their interaction caffeine, studied using different analytical techniques. cytotoxicity cell viability assays 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide (MTT) mouse embryonic fibroblasts line (MEF cells). release at temperatures 25 °C 42 1.2 7.4. Beadless copolymer diameters ranging from 1 μm to 2 obtained. addition which in crystalline form after being encapsulated fibers, resulted an increase fiber diameter. membranes found be not cytotoxic. entrapment greater for due affinity caffeine. At both °C, 7.4 temperature Fickian diffusion mechanism all mats observed. profile showed high rate followed zero-order fast dissolution water. These results indicated that pH-sensitive are promising candidates controlled drugs.

pH Sensitive Hydrogel Based Acrylic Acid for Controlled Drug Release

Hydrogels, due to their unique potentials such as high-water content and hydrophilicity are interest for the controlled release of drug molecules. The present study aims to create a controlled-release system through the preparation and characterization of hydrogels based on pH-sensitive polymers such as poly (acrylic acid). Poly (acrylic acid), p(AA), hydrogel has been synthesized by radical po...

Application of eudragit RS to thermo-sensitive drug delivery systems. I. Thermo-sensitive drug release from acetaminophen matrix tablets consisting of eudragit RS/PEG 400 blend polymers.

In order to develop the polymer materials having temperature-sensitive and high biological safety, Eudragit RS-PO and polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400) blend polymers (EPG) were prepared. The EPGs that have the glass transition temperature (Tg) at around the body temperature were prepared by the addition of 5--13% PEG 400 to Eudragit RS. As glassy polymers are not in thermodynamic equilibrium b...

Thermo- and pH-responsive polymers in drug delivery.

Stimuli-responsive polymers show a sharp change in properties upon a small or modest change in environmental condition, e.g. temperature, light, salt concentration or pH. This behaviour can be utilised for the preparation of so-called 'smart' drug delivery systems, which mimic biological response behaviour to a certain extent. The possible environmental conditions to use for this purpose are li...

Hydrophilic Natural Polymers for Sustained-controlled Release of Calcium Hydroxide

Calcium Hydroxide (CH) is commonly employed as intracanal medicament in endodontics. In order to maximize its therapeutic effects, it is essential to develop new approaches for preparing the controlled drug release systems which, in turn, facilities the dissociation of CH into calcium and hydroxyl ions. This work studies the sustained-controlled release of calcium ions and the effect of pH chan...
