چکیده
The objective of this study is the elaboration a rainfall-runoff model capable predicting future floods resulting from extreme rainfall events in rugged Moroccan Mediterranean basin with marly lands. integration deterministic hydrological modelling system, Hydrologic Engineering Center-Hydrologic Modelling System, Geographic Information System was employed to construct model. calibration and validation were performed using gridded daily occurrences period 2003 2010. model’s performance assessed various statistical indices, including R-squared, root-mean-square error, percent bias, Nash-Sutcliffe parameter. results indicated good agreement between observed simulated flow, an average R-squared 0.81. exhibited low residual flow variation, averaging at 0.51, achieved favorable values, 0.69. However, that include multiple flood hydrographs, tends underestimate initial one. Despite limitation, overall considered for 50% indices excellent additional 25% them. unsatisfactory performance. Future research could focus on improving accuracy by investigating indicators unscheduled releases upstream dams, which contribute potential variations flow. Also, it’s important implement reservoir control policy optimizes storage capacity effectively mitigates floods.

The objective of this work is the realization of a map spatialising proposals of management and planning of lands, with a view to their rational management within the framework of a sustainable development. It was based on a diagnosis of the natural environment that allowed the analysis and identification of constraints to the development of the watershed of Ouergha (North of MOROCCO). The meth...
متن کاملDistributed hydrological modelling of a heavily glaciated Alpine river basin
A glacier submodel was successfully integrated into the distributed hydrological model WaSiM-ETH to simulate the discharge of a heavily glaciated drainage basin. The glacier submodel comprises a distributed temperature index model including solar radiation to simulate the melt rate of glaciated areas. Meltwater and rainfall are transformed into glacier discharge by using a linear reservoir appr...

Extending medium-range predictability of extreme hydrological events in Europe
Widespread flooding occurred across northwest Europe during the winter of 2013/14, resulting in large socioeconomic damages. In the historical record, extreme hydrological events have been connected with intense water vapour transport. Here we show that water vapour transport has higher medium-range predictability compared with precipitation in the winter 2013/14 forecasts from the European Cen...
