چکیده

In-depth understanding and accurate simulation of hydrological processes are great significance for sustainable development management water resources. The study focused on a semi-arid catchment, the upper Tang River catchment in northern China, investigated performance RCCC-WBM model based detection results trend, mutation, periodicity. Results show that (1) as result climate change intensive human activities, observed runoff series after TFPW (trend-free pre-whiting) pretreatment presented significant downward trend with mutation point 1996; (2) abrupt air temperature was also 1996 rising while annual precipitation exhibited an insignificant declining no obvious during 1973–2014; (3) had periodic variations roughly 7a multiples oscillation strongest around 14a, showed only one dominant period 28a; (4) performed well discharge before year but gradually lost its stability 1996, which mainly affected by anthropogenic activities. It is essential to accurately identify characteristics elements improve applicability models changing environment future studies.

Simulation of the catchments hydrological processes in arid, semi-arid and semi-humid areas

Hydrological processes and their spatial distribution directly are relevant to climate, topography, geology, and land use in the watershed. Therefore, use of a model whit integrity and high performance for simulating the process in deferent watersheds is very important. In this study was assessment performance of semi-distributed SWAT model in simulating hydrology processes in three watersheds ...

Kinematic runoff and erosion model efficiency assessment for hydrological simulation of semi-arid watersheds

Hydrologic modeling of semi-arid watersheds is imperative for the development of appropriate water and soil conservation plans. In the current study, the efficiency of Kinematic Runoff and Erosion model-version 2 (K2) model was used to evaluate water discharge and sediment load simulation of Bar watershed, located in the north-eastern part of Iran. The K2 model relies on the kinematic wave appr...

Coupled hydrological-economic modelling for optimised irrigated cultivation in a semi-arid catchment of West Africa

Abstract A coupled model system, consisting of a distributed hydrological model and an economic optimization model, is applied 1) to investigate regional interdependencies between irrigated agriculture and regional water balance and 2) to identify optimized cultivation strategies. The coupled model system is applied to a case study for the semi-arid Atankwidi catchment in West Africa. The hydro...

Using SWAT and SWAT-CUP for hydrological simulation and uncertainty analysis in arid and semi-arid watersheds (Case study: Zoshk Watershed, Shandiz, Iran)

The aims of this project was to assess the capability of SWAT model and SWAT-CUP software in hydrological simulation and to evaluate the uncertainty of SWAT model in estimating runoff in arid and semi-arid watersheds. Model calibration and uncertainty analysis were performed using the Sequential Uncertainty Fitting (SUFI2) algorithm. In the stage of calibration and validation of water flow, per...
