Hydrogen peroxide and saline nutrient solution in hydroponic zucchini culture

چکیده
Saline water has been used in irrigation due to the limited availability of fresh water, especially arid and semi-arid regions. However, use this type can affect crop growth development. Studies have tested chemical conditioners minimize negative effects salinity on plants. In scenario, present study examined role hydrogen peroxide mitigating salt stress zucchini plants grown a hydroponic system. The was carried out greenhouse Pombal - PB, Brazil. NFT (nutrient film technique) system employed. A randomized complete experimental design set up with 4 × factorial arrangement consisting four levels electrical conductivity nutrient solution (ECns: 2.1 [control], 3.6, 5.1, 6.6 dS m-1) concentrations (H2O2: 0, 20, 40, 60 μM), three replicates. Foliar spraying H2O2 at 40 μM associated m-1 increased stem diameter root length, respectively, 47 days after transplanting. ECns higher than m-1, application intensified stress, reducing length. Nutrient above reduce photosynthetic pigments; number leaves; leaf area; length main branch; dry biomass stems, leaves, roots Chlorophyll b carotenoid contents are variables most sensitive changes levels.

Nutrient Management in Recirculating Hydroponic Culture
INTRODUCTION There is an increasing need to recirculate and reuse nutrient solutions in order to reduce environmental and economic costs. However, one of the weakest points in hydroponics is the lack of information on managing the nutrient solution. Many growers and research scientists dump out nutrient solutions and refill at weekly intervals. Other authors have recommended measuring the conce...

متن کاملPhotodecomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide in Highly Saline Aqueous Medium
The photodecomposition of hydrogen peroxide was performed in highly saline aqueous medium (60 g.L of NaCl). The Fe/H2O2/NaCl/UV system was tested at temperatures from 20 to 50 C, while the intervals of concentration of Fe and H2O2 were 1 to 2.5 mM and 230 to 630 mM, respectively. It is known from the literature that chloride is an inhibitor of the oxidation of organic compound in aqueous medium...
