Hydrogen Liquefaction by Active Magnetic Regenerative Refrigeration
نویسندگان
چکیده
The article summarizes the research and development of magnetic refrigeration for hydrogen liquefaction, Active Magnetic Regenerative Refrigeration (AMRR) developed by National Institute Materials Science (NIMS). NIMS-AMR consists optimized AMR beds, a superconducting solenoid with correction coils, dedicated liquid vessel level sensor. This also reports first successful demonstration liquefaction AMRR.

Optimization of Active Magnetic Regenerative Refrigeration Systems Using Design of Experiments
This paper attends to demonstrate the usefulness of Design of Experiments (DOE) method in magnetic refrigeration (MR) understanding and optimization. A numerical DOE is applied to a simple 1D finite difference model describing an Active Magnetic Regenerative Refrigeration (AMRR) system. The heat transfer fluid is water, the regenerator consists of stacked gadolinium plates and the model is base...

Analysis of a Supercritical Hydrogen Liquefaction Cycle
A supercritical hydrogen liquefaction cycle is proposed and analyzed numerically. If hydrogen is to be used as an energy carrier, the efficiency of liquefaction will become increasingly important. By examining some difficulties of commonly used industrial liquefaction cycles, several changes are suggested and a readily scalable, supercritical, helium-cooled hydrogen liquefaction cycle is propos...
