Hydrochemistry of the Mixed Dead Sea-Red Sea Water under Different Impoundment Scenarios as a Time Dependent State

چکیده

The expected water mixing process between Red/Dead Sea during the proposed conveyance projects is main target of this research. project will ensue transporting Red to recover and maintain certain level Dead Sea, mostly reach -395 m. It found that, two different bodies with EC values or densities (salinities) are relatively divided by stable plane. This plane defined as BARZACH PLANE. In study, occurred waters, located at 20% - 24% column depth based on Barzach Plane level. During a laboratory experimental work, it that mixed evaporates in high rate until where solution attains oversaturated conditions dissolved solids. At stage, thin layer solids suddenly formed floated surface dense brine. salinity captured so salt cannot be dissolved. addition, prevents below evaporate stalactites start form excess not any mineral.

Impact of artificial reservoir water impoundment on global sea level.

By reconstructing the history of water impoundment in the world's artificial reservoirs, we show that a total of approximately 10,800 cubic kilometers of water has been impounded on land to date, reducing the magnitude of global sea level (GSL) rise by -30.0 millimeters, at an average rate of -0.55 millimeters per year during the past half century. This demands a considerably larger contributio...

Modeling Caspian Sea water level oscillations under different scenarios of increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations

The rapid rise of Caspian Sea water level (about 2.25 meters since 1978) has caused much concern to all five surrounding countries, primarily because flooding has destroyed or damaged buildings and other engineering structures, roads, beaches and farm lands in the coastal zone. Given that climate, and more specifically climate change, is a primary factor influencing oscillations in Caspian Sea ...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Simulation of rice production under climate change scenarios in the Southern coasts of Caspian Sea

Climate change has direct and indirect consequences on crop production and food security. Agriculture and cropproduction is one of the factors which depend on the weather conditions and it provides the human requirements inmany aspects. The objective of this study is to assess the impacts of future climatic change on irrigated rice yieldusing the CERES-Rice model in the Southern Coast of Caspia...
