چکیده
In this paper, we study the performance of cooperative millimeter wave (mmWave) networks with hybrid precoding architectures. Considering joint transmissions and BS silence strategy, propose algorithms which minimize sum power consumption base stations (BSs), for both fully- partially-connected (FHP PHP, respectively) schemes, single-carrier orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems. We reformulate analog part as an equal-gain transmission problem, only depends on channel information, digital a relaxed convex semidefinite program subject to per-user quality-of-service constraints that gives optimal in terms strategy. order reduce complexity algorithm sub-optimal iteratively put BSs small into silent mode. The simulation results show that, depending parameter settings, PHP may be dominated by RF transmit it result larger than FHP. For cases 2 4 users, implementation FHP reduces required power, compared case non-cooperative network, 71% 56%, respectively.

GMD-Based Hybrid Precoding For Millimeter-Wave Massive MIMO Systems
Hybrid precoding can significantly reduce the number of required radio frequency (RF) chains and relieve the huge energy consumption in mmWave massive MIMO systems, thus attracting much interests from academic and industry. However, most existing hybrid precoding schemes are based on singular value decomposition (SVD). Due to the very different subchannel signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) after SVD...

Large propagation path loss and limited scattering of millimeter wave (mmwave) channels create new challenges for physical layer signal processing. Hence, in this article, we propose a photonic hybrid precoding model for mmwave radio-over-fiber systems that overcomes hardware constraints on radio frequency precoding. With help of silicon photonic integrated circuits (Si-PICs), the photonic prec...
متن کاملA Hardware-Efficient Analog Network Structure for Hybrid Precoding in Millimeter Wave Systems
Hybrid precoding has been recently proposed as a cost-effective transceiver solution for millimeter wave (mmwave) systems. While the number of radio frequency (RF) chains has been effectively reduced in existing works, a large number of high-precision phase shifters are still needed. Practical phase shifters are with coarsely quantized phases, and their number should be reduced to a minimum due...

The focus of this paper is on multi-user multi-input multi-output (MIMO) transmissions for millimeter wave systems with a hybrid precoding architecture at the base-station. To enable multi-user transmissions, the base-station uses a cell-specific codebook of beamforming vectors over an initial beam alignment phase. Each user uses a user-specific codebook of beamforming vectors to learn the top-...
متن کاملGeometric Mean Decomposition Based Hybrid Precoding for Millimeter-Wave Massive MIMO
Hybrid precoding can significantly reduce the number of required radio frequency (RF) chains in millimeter-Wave (mmWave) massive MIMO systems. However, existing hybrid precoding based on singular value decomposition (SVD) requests the complicated bit allocation to match the different signal-tonoise-ratios (SNRs) of different sub-channels. In this paper, we propose a geometric mean decomposition...
