Hybrid Modulated DCDC Boost Converter for Wearable Devices

Wearable devices require power management systems to achieve high conversion efficiency over a wide range of load currents. Multi-mode mixed modulation can be used in DCDC converters current range. The boost converter proposed this paper uses hybrid DGM (Deep Green Control Mode), PCMC (Peak mode control)-PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) and PCMC-PWM Width Modulation). switches smoothly from PCMC-PFM under load-current-based conditions without any selection module. is fabricated 0.18 ?m CMOS process with Die area 1.24 × 0.78 ?m2. input voltage 0.8–5 V, the output 5 5–300 mA. Experimental results show that 94.7% peak efficiency. Efficiency more than 90% achieved 30–300
