Hybrid Floating Photovoltaic - Hydropower Potential Utilization in Indonesia

Abstract Most countries mitigate climate alter impacts by deploying renewable energy to decarbonize their system. One of the emerging options is integration floating photovoltaic (FPV) and hydropower. The FPV has higher efficiency helps reduce evaporation offset hydropower production during dry season. Conversely, can overcome intermittent solar due its flexibility. Our study aims estimate potentials from plants integrations in Indonesia. As result, country 5,807 potential reservoirs for 26 with a reservoir area utilization more than 1 MW. Those sites are suitable 3 GW power 2.8 And those CO 2 emissions 2,911,197 tonnes per year.
