Hybrid Driving Training and Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm-Based Optimal Control for Performance Improvement of Microgrids

This paper discusses the importance of microgrids in power systems and introduces a new method for enhancing their performance by improving transient voltage response face disturbances. The involves using hybrid optimization approach that combines driving training-based particle swarm techniques (HDTPS). is used to fine-tune system’s cascaded control scheme parameters, based on proportional–integral–accelerator (PIA) proportional–integral controllers. problem formulated central composite surface methodology (CCRSM) create an objective function. To validate suggested methodology, PSCAD/EMTDC software carry out simulations. simulations explore various scenarios wherein microgrid transformed into islanded system subjected types faults load changes. A comparison was made between two proposed optimized simulation results demonstrate effectiveness PIA-optimized controller; it improved greatly enhanced profile. In addition, controllers’ gains were only PSO ensure outcomes HDTPS model demonstrated same results. Finally, (HDTPS PSO); show better impact when controller optimization.
