HUMOROUS ANECDOTES AS MOTIVATIONAL TOOL IN PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION

With the demands of effective pedagogy for 21st century, teachers are in constant search a teaching tool that is more fun, and interesting promotes positive learning. Thus, this study ascertained effectiveness humorous anecdotes as motivational improving students’ performance Purposive Communication. Using quasi-experimental design, student's speaking writing performances were evaluated served treatment experimental group other different tools employed control group. Focus discussion was also used to obtain narratives during implementation. The findings assert participants taught with exemplify description needs improvement skills noted deficient but noticeable little progress. Despite developments observed, mean gains entry exit levels both groups comparable. In deeper sense, humor heartwarming teaching-learning process an efficient teacher-student relationship. It recommended initiatives augment relevance using motivation may be considered by language teachers.
