HUMIC EXTRACT AS A BIOSTIMULANT IN CROPS SUBJECTED TO ABIOTIC STRESS

چکیده
Because abiotic stresses pose significant challenges to the growth and productivity of crops, development plants with greater survival when exposed unfavorable situations is an objective several research groups. Biostimulants are substances or microorganisms that, applied crops through foliar root pathways, serve enhance various processes related development. These include nutrient absorption, tolerance environmental stress, overall harvest quality. Interestingly, biostimulants can achieve these effects even they possess a low concentration elements in their composition. Among main most often used plant hormones, algae extract, mycorrhizal fungi, protein hydrolysates, humic (humic fulvic acids). This review sheds light on biostimulant applying experiencing hydric stress conditions rainfed cultivation. Additionally, it aims identify gaps current highlights areas that require further investigation. Furthermore, provides concise overview origin progression (HS), including extraction obtaining process, as well structural characteristics relationship between structure, properties, functions. The also presents findings support potential influencing affected by stress. highlight beneficial enhancing resilience performance facing such drought, salinity, temperature extremes, other non-biological stressors. evidence underscores significance valuable tool mitigating detrimental impacts crop health.

Porcine Hemoglobin Hydrolysate as a Biostimulant for Lettuce Plants Subjected to Conditions of Thermal Stress
The effects of different kinds of biotic and abiotic stress on crops can be lessened through exogenous application of different biostimulant products. Although some of these products come from enzymatic hydrolysates derived from animal remains, the literature does not contain references to the use of enzymatic hydrolysates obtained from animal hemoglobin, specifi cally porcine blood. With the a...
متن کاملBarley Genes as Tools to Confer Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Crops
Barley is one of the oldest cultivated crops in the world with a high adaptive capacity. The natural tolerance of barley to stress has led to increasing interest in identification of stress responsive genes through small/large-scale omics studies, comparative genomics, and overexpression of some of these genes by genetic transformation. Two major categories of proteins involved in stress tolera...
متن کاملGenetic analysis of abiotic stress tolerance in crops.
Abiotic stress tolerance is complex, but as phenotyping technologies improve, components that contribute to abiotic stress tolerance can be quantified with increasing ease. In parallel with these phenomics advances, genetic approaches with more complex genomes are becoming increasingly tractable as genomic information in non-model crops increases and even whole crop genomes can be re-sequenced....
متن کاملLearning from halophytes: physiological basis and strategies to improve abiotic stress tolerance in crops.
BACKGROUND Global annual losses in agricultural production from salt-affected land are in excess of US$12 billion and rising. At the same time, a significant amount of arable land is becoming lost to urban sprawl, forcing agricultural production into marginal areas. Consequently, there is a need for a major breakthrough in crop breeding for salinity tolerance. Given the limited range of genetic...
متن کاملIncreasing ascorbate levels in crops to enhance human nutrition and plant abiotic stress tolerance.
Ascorbate (or vitamin C) is an essential human micronutrient predominantly obtained from plants. In addition to preventing scurvy, it is now known to have broader roles in human health, for example as a cofactor for enzymes involved in epigenetic programming and as regulator of cellular iron uptake. Furthermore, ascorbate is the major antioxidant in plants and underpins many environmentally ind...
