چکیده
Human milk is considered the most advantageous source of nourishment for infants. Even though there no ideal composition human milk, it still contains a unique combination components that contribute to brain development. The aim this review provide an overview on possible correlation with neurodevelopment infants, special emphasis myelination and epigenetic modifications. Research in rapidly expanding field cutting-edge technologies might identify specific mechanisms underlying beneficial effects neurodevelopment.

Role of Human Milk in the Development of Gastrointestinal Bacterial Flora and Immunity in Preterm Infants
Submit Manuscript | http://medcraveonline.com Hakansson and Molin [4] suggests that microbial colonization of the GI tract affects the composition of GALT. Once the intestine is exposed to microorganisms, intraepithelial lymphocytes increase; germinal centers with immunoglobulin-producing cells arise rapidly in follicles and in the lamina propria and serum immunoglobulin concentrations increase...
متن کاملThe immunological components of human milk and their effect on immune development in infants.
There have been considerable advances in our understanding of the diverse mixture of bioactive components in human milk that influence the immune status of infants by not only providing protection but also facilitating development, tolerance, and an appropriate inflammatory response. It could be suggested that milk is the communication vehicle between the maternal immune system and the infant, ...
متن کاملOutcomes of human milk-fed premature infants.
Significant benefits to infant host defense, sensory-neural development, gastrointestinal maturation, and some aspects of nutritional status are observed when premature infants are fed their mothers' own milk. A reduction in infection-related morbidity in human milk-fed premature infants has been reported in nearly a dozen descriptive, and a few quasi-randomized, studies in the past 25 years. H...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of infant medication exposure through breast-feeding during maternal treatment with paroxetine. METHOD Breast milk and paired maternal and infant sera were collected after 10 days of maternal treatment with paroxetine at a stable daily dose (10-50 mg/day). All samples were analyzed by means of high-performance liquid chromatograp...
متن کاملPolyamines in human breast milk for preterm and term infants.
Maternal milk is the first source of exogenous polyamines for the newborn. Polyamines modulate gut maturation in neonates, but no studies are available on polyamine concentration in human milk of preterm babies, even though they could be important for their immature gut. The present study aimed to determine polyamine concentration in human breast milk of mothers with preterm or term infants dur...
