In this article, the authors examine freedom of a person as subject law, comparing it with an individual, which is regulated by moral imperatives. They analyze various components personality structure – volitional, rational and valuable. The relationship between concepts “freedom” “right” highlighted, connection legal responsibility traced. role individual awareness in ensuring human determined. relevance article determined need to justify ways state, creating mechanisms for overcoming contradictions necessity, equality. For this, necessary from point view law. purpose study clarify status category, specify its essence, place meaning science, characterize current trends development phenomenon. methodological basis consists dialectical, phenomenological synergistic approaches, well following methods: formal-dogmatic, comparison, formal-logical, formal-legal, systemic structuralfunctional. reached conclusions: differs freedom, impossible without legislative form implementation.
