HPTLC analysis of Fumaria parviflora (Lam.) methanolic extract of whole plant

Abstract Background Fumaria parviflora (Lam.), commonly known as “fine-leaved fumitory,” is well for its therapeutic properties in the Indian traditional medicinal system. The presence of important bioactive compounds plants makes them pharmacologically valuable. Therefore, present study, high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) analysis (whole plant) methanolic extract was performed phytochemical profiling. Results HPTLC densitometric carried out using CAMAG system, and results were obtained form chromatograms (scanned at wavelength 254 nm 366 nm) representing several peaks. profile plant determined presented tables showing total number peaks, peak heights, area, percent Rf values. Conclusion study concluded that F. whole contains a rich variety phytochemicals which might be accountable value thus justifies use India.
