How transformational leadership fulfills psychological contract for reinforcing better performance: a Thai case study

This study explores how psychological contract mediates the relationship between transformational leadership (TFL) and performance to see far these concepts, widely studied in western context, are applicable a non-western context. utilized mixed-methodology case based on market-leading company consumer-electronics business Thailand. There 282 samples for quantitative data collection utilize three-equation approach test mediating effect. 55 participants qualitative data, thematic analysis was used. To explain process, this research found three themes, feeling valued, family atmosphere, needing repay company’s kindness. They need managers with TFL qualities make them happen. reveals insightful understandings of concepts. Firstly, distinction transactional relational elements contact is only apparent at conceptual level, while practice, they coincide. Secondly, job satisfaction contributes organizational commitment. Lastly, reinforces being overwhelmed by kindness making employees want work until retirement.
