AbstractThe solutions of Advection-Dispersion Equation are frequently used to describe solute transport through porous media when considering and reversible equilibrium adsorption. The behavior equivalent finite semi-infinite systems analyzed, observing that system approximates the corresponding ones “infinite” condition approach measurement location. Because first-type equal one, both type used, only latter is presented. A parametric analysis based on number shows all converge greater than twenty. Systems under research must have five use confidently reactive media. Keywords: Advection-Diffusion Equation, Analytical solutions, Reactive Solute Transport, Porous Media.

Homogenization Approach to the Dispersion Theory for Reactive Transport through Porous Media
We study the homogenization problem for a convection-diffusion equation in a periodic porous medium in the presence of chemical reaction on the pores surface. Mathematically this model is described in terms of a solution to a system of convection-diffusion equation in the medium and ordinary differential equation defined on the pores surface. These equations are coupled through the boundary con...
Effective Macrodiffusion in Solute Transport through Heterogeneous Porous Media
Homogenization method is used to analyse the equivalent behavior of transient flow of a passive solute through highly heterogeneous porous media. The flow is governed by a coupled system which includes an elliptic equation and a linear convection-diffusion concentration equation with a diffusion term small with respect to the convection, i.e. a high Peclet number is considered. Asymptotic expan...
An Improved Model to Simulate Mud (Drilling Fluid) Dispersion through Porous Media
An improved model of mud dispersion has been introduced in this work. The advantages of this model consist of a new analytical correlation for dispersivity by using resistivity log data and using a new aspect of capacitance dispersion model. Mathematical formulations were expressed, solved by numerical model taking advantage of actual log and formation data. Achieved results yielded r...
Subordinated Advection-dispersion Equation for Contaminant Transport
A mathematical method called subordination broadens the applicability of the classical advection--dispersion equation for contaminant transport. In this method, the time variable is randomized to represent the operational time experienced by different particles. In a highly heterogeneous aquifer, the operational time captures the fractal properties of the medium. This leads to a simple, parsimo...
