چکیده
The aim of the present study was to examine how team composition players with different roles constrains individual and collective tactical behaviours, ball possession effectiveness, during competitive 3 vs small-sided conditioned games (SSCGs) in youth soccer players. Fifteen male (under 15 yrs, mean age 13.2 ± 1.03 years, years practice: 4.2 1.10 years) from same club participated this study. For analysis purposes, on advice coaching staff, participants were categorised according their main performance role, resulting sub-samples 5 defenders (centre-backs = 2 full- backs 3), 7 midfielders (central wide 4) attackers (forwards). In order assess participant a notational system created four categories: i) ii) players’ offensive actions, iii) defensive iv), effectiveness. Analysis actions revealed that composed only higher frequency diagonal vertical passes relation attackers’ team. more dribbles teams midfielders. effectiveness achieved values shots goal compared These findings exemplified playing role emergence behaviours SSCGs.

Effects of pitch size and skill level on tactical behaviours of Association Football players during small-sided and conditioned games
In Association Football, the study of variability in players’ movement trajectories during performance can provide insights on tactical behaviours. This study aimed to analyse the movement variability present in: i) the players’ actions zones and ii), distances travelled over time, considered as a player’s positional spatial reference. Additionally, we investigated whether the movement variabil...
متن کاملSports teams as complex adaptive systems: manipulating player numbers shapes behaviours during football small-sided games
Small-sided and conditioned games (SSCGs) in sport have been modelled as complex adaptive systems. Research has shown that the relative space per player (RSP) formulated in SSCGs can impact on emergent tactical behaviours. In this study we adopted a systems orientation to analyse how different RSP values, obtained through manipulations of player numbers, influenced four measures of interpersona...

This paper analyzes effects of different practice task constraints on heart rate (HR) variability during 4v4 smallsided football games. Participants were sixteen football players divided into two age groups (U13, Mean age: 12.4±0.5 yrs; U15: 14.6±0.5). The task consisted of a 4v4 sub-phase without goalkeepers, on a 25x15 m field, of 15 minutes duration with an active recovery period of 6 minute...

We consider clustering player behavior and learning the optimal team composition for multiplayer online games. The goal is to determine a set of descriptive play style groupings and learn a predictor for win/loss outcomes. The predictor takes in as input the play styles of the participants in each team; i.e., the various team compositions in a game. Our framework uses unsupervised learning to f...
