How Does Contractual Flexibility Affect a Contractor’s Opportunistic Behavior? Roles of Justice Perception and Communication Quality

Owing to the natural complexity and uncertainty of construction projects, more contracts tend add flexibility be able deal with emergencies, thus promoting smooth implementation projects. Contractual has a certain impact on contractors’ opportunistic behavior, but because lack relevant empirical studies, its influencing mechanism conclusions have been controversial. The purpose this paper is reveal whether how contractual restrains contractor’s behavior. In paper, data are collected from 290 responses an opinion questionnaire survey analyzed partial-least-squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). results indicate that can restrain relationships mediated by interorganizational justice perceptions.
