چکیده
We present the discovery and characterization of two sub-Neptunes in close orbits, as well a tentative outer planet similar size, orbiting TOI-1260 - low metallicity K6V dwarf star. Photometry from TESS yields radii $R_{\rm b} = 2.33 \pm 0.10$ $R_{\oplus}$ c} 2.82 0.15$ $R_{\oplus}$, periods 3.13 7.49 days for TOI-1260b TOI-1260c, respectively. combined data with series ground-based follow-up observations to characterize planetary system. From HARPS-N high-precision radial velocities we obtain $M_{\rm 8.61_{ 1.46 } ^ { + 1.36 }$ $M_{\oplus}$ 11.84_{ 3.23 3.38 $M_{\oplus}$. The star is moderately active complex activity pattern, which necessitated use Gaussian process regression both light curve detrending velocity modelling, latter case guided by suitable indicators. successfully disentangle stellar-induced signal signals, underlining importance usefulness Process approach. test system's stability against atmospheric photoevaporation find that planets are classic examples structure composition ambiguity typical $2-3$ range.

Between Cool Stars and Hot Planets: Origins of Brown Dwarfs
Brown dwarfs, which straddle the mass range between stars and planets, appear to be common both in the solar neighborhood and in star-forming regions. Their ubiquity makes the question of their origin an important one both for our understanding of brown dwarfs themselves as well as for theories on the formation of stars and planets. Studies of young sub-stellar objects could provide valuable in...
متن کاملPan-Planets: Searching for hot Jupiters around cool dwarfs
The Pan-Planets survey observed an area of 42 sq deg. in the galactic disk for about 165 hours. The main scientific goal of the project is the detection of transiting planets around M dwarfs. We establish an efficient procedure for determining the stellar parameters Teff and log g of all sources using a method based on SED fitting, utilizing a three-dimensional dust map and proper motion inform...
متن کاملRapid Formation of Gas Giant Planets around M Dwarf Stars
Extrasolar planet surveys have begun to detect gas giant planets in orbit around M dwarf stars. While the frequency of gas giant planets around M dwarfs so far appears to be lower than that around G dwarfs, it is clearly not zero. Previous work has shown that the core accretion mechanism does not seem to be able to form gas giant planets around M dwarfs, because the time required for core forma...
متن کاملLimits on Planets Around Pulsating White Dwarf Stars
We present limits on planetary companions to pulsating white dwarf stars. A subset of these stars exhibit extreme stability in the period and phase of some of their pulsation modes; a planet can be detected around such a star by searching for periodic variations in the arrival time of these pulsations. We present limits on companions greater than a few Jupiter masses around a sample of 15 white...
متن کاملFinding Planets around White Dwarf Remnants of Massive Stars
Planet frequency shows a strong positive correlation with host mass from the hydrogen-burning limit to M = 2M⊙. No search has yet been conducted for planets of higher-mass hosts because all existing techniques are insensitive to these planets. We show that infrared observations of the white-dwarf (WD) remnants of massive stars 3M⊙ <M < 7M⊙ would be sensitive to these planets for reasons that ar...
