Hookah smoking among young people in Bamako

Introduction: In Mali, shisha has become the most common form of tobacco consumption, which is not without danger for consumer health. The aim this study was to assess consumption level among young people in District Bamako. Methods: This a prospective from March 2019 2020. A total 200 smokers aged 40 or under were included study. Results: male sex predominant, with 75% cases. majority, 81.5%, age 25. According data, 26% respondents said they smoke at least once day. Over quarter cases reported concurrent use two more addictive substances. association alcohol (13%), cannabis (9%) and cocaine (4.5%). results, 69% thought that less harmful than cigarettes. Conclusion: Consumption grown considerably Mali recent years. highlighted new multiple drug addiction, could be health consumers. Thus, authorities concerned must take appropriate measures combat scourge.
