Hook-and-Loop laser fastening of an optical frequency comb to a strongly driven two-level quantum system

چکیده

In order to control the state of a two-level quantum system (e.g. spin an ion qubit), optical frequency combs perform two-photon stimulated Raman process through absorption from one comb tooth and emission into another tooth. If energy gap is integer multiple repetition rate laser, resonant Rabi oscillations are excited. When these latter have close qubit’s transition one, strongly anharmonic phase-locked cycle may exist on Bloch sphere, which generates sub-harmonic series very narrow, equally spaced, spectral lines. appropriately tuned (up average carrier envelope frequency), highly dynamical regime should be reached where processes would occur for any pair adjacent teeth.
