چکیده

In this contribution macroscopic modeling of phase transformations and mechanical behavior low alloy steels are developed investigated. Such is importance in simulations transient thermo-mechanical processes which can cause transformations, examples from the railway industry include train braking induced frictional heating as well rail grinding welding operations. We adopt a approach includes transformation kinetics individual constitutive models for phases combination with different homogenization methods. Algorithmic implementations isostrain, isostress self-consistent methods presented demonstrated finite element laser experiment. Stress field results compared against each other also experimental data. The including plasticity highlighted, multi-phase stages cooling.

A Strain Range Dependent Cyclic Plasticity Model

Hysteresis loop curves are highly important for numerical simulations of materials deformation under cyclic loadings. The models mainly take account of only the tensile half of the stabilized cycle in hysteresis loop for identification of the constants which don’t vary with accumulation of plastic strain and strain range of the hysteresis loop. This approach may be quite erroneous particularly ...

Analysis of Fatigue Crack Paths in Cold Drawn Pearlitic Steel

In this paper, a fracto-metallographic analysis was performed on the cracked specimens of cold drawn pearlitic steel subjected to fatigue tests. Fatigue cracks are transcollonial and exhibit a preference for fracturing pearlitic lamellae, with non-uniform crack opening displacement values, micro-discontinuities, branchings, bifurcations and frequent local deflections that create microstructural...

Modelling Residual Stress and Phase Transformations in Steel Welds

Mathematical modelling of welding phenomena is very complex: involving melt pool phenomena, solidification, weldability analysis, microstructure evolution in the heat affected zone, welding heat-flow simulation, electrical-thermal-mechanical simulation etc. Some interactions between these processes are included in Fig. 1. Each topic alone can be intellectually challenging and too hard to be inv...

Calibration of Hardening Rules for Cyclic Plasticity

In the realm of multi-axial ratcheting, a step by step mathematical approach is developed for the parameter determination of decomposed kinematic hardening rules. For this purpose, key characteristics are mathematically derived for these hardening rules under multi-axial loading. These characteristics are then utilized to develop expressions which relate the loading history to the accumulated p...
