چکیده
Abstract The catalytic and gas-phase combustion of fuel-lean H2/CO/O2/N2 mixtures over palladium was investigated experimentally numerically at a global equivalence ratio φ = 0.285, H2:CO volumetric ratios 1-4, pressures 1-8 bar catalyst surface temperatures 950-1200 K. In situ planar laser induced fluorescence (PLIF) the OH radical monitored homogeneous inside channel-flow reactor, while 1-D Raman measurements main species concentrations across channel boundary layer assessed heterogeneous processes. Simulations were carried out with 2-D numerical code using detailed chemical reaction mechanisms realistic transport. simulated measured transverse profiles attested to transport-limited conversion H2 CO all operating conditions. OH-PLIF simulations confirmed establishment appreciable only for p

Compressed Liquid Densities for Binary Mixtures at Temperatures from 280- 440K at Pressures up to 200 MPa
A method for predicting liquid densities of binary mixtures from heat of vaporization and liquid densityat boiling point temperature (ΔHvap and n b ρ ) as scaling constants, is presented. B2(T) follows a promisingcorresponding-states principle. Calculation of α(T) and b(T), the two other temperature-dependentconstants of the equation of state, are made possible by scaling. As a result ΔHvap and...

متن کاملA New Correlation for Prediction of Wax Disappearance Temperature of Hydrocarbon Mixtures at Various Pressures
Wax precipitate is one of the most serious issues the oil industry is currently facing, since it can cause some troubles such as increasing of the pressure losses in pipe which subsequently increases the required power for pumpage. To remove this problem, prediction of wax disappearance temperature (WDT) seems necessary. In this study, the pressure influence on the wax disappearance temperatu...
متن کاملUrea and deuterium mixtures at high pressures.
Urea, like many network forming compounds, has long been known to form inclusion (guest-host) compounds. Unlike other network formers like water, urea is not known to form such inclusion compounds with simple molecules like hydrogen. Such compounds if they existed would be of interest both for the fundamental insight they provide into molecular bonding and as potential gas storage systems. Urea...
متن کاملAqueous mixtures to supercritical temperatures and at high pressures
Thermophysical properties of dense supercriiicai water with special emphasis on dielectric permittivity are discussed. Phase diagrams and some critical curves of the binary systems H20—H2, H2O—N, H20—02, H20-CH4 and H20-He to 450 °C and 200 MPa are shown. H20-He tas a type I critical curve. A rational equation of state to calculate phase diagrams and critical curves for polar—non polar systems ...
